Bio-fuel generating systems
Green2Go generators run on bio-fuel that is manufactured from waste used cooking oil of UK origin. This is a fully sustainable and renewable fuel source, which would otherwise cause expensive blockages in the sewage system, or contribute to landfill.
Thebio-fuel is deemed to be the highest level of sustainable fuel by government bodies such as BERR and the Department of Transport.
The use of a waste product as the primary feedstock enables Green2Go generators to deliver very low carbon energy, typically reducing carbon emissions by between 80% and 90% compared to standard grid electricity or petroleum diesel. This has enabled many Green2Go customers to achieve a coveted ‘A’ rating for the energy efficiency of their buildings.
The solution is particularly attractive to organisations that produce a lot of waste cooking oil. The virtuous circle of recycled waste enables them to enjoy competitive energy prices, very low carbon emissions and the opportunity to fix much of their energy costs over the long term.
This sustainable energy source also helps organisations to reduce the costs associated with the Climate Change Levy, from which Green2Go’s power is exempt, and going forward, the Carbon Reduction Commitment.
Green2Go generators are fully synchronised with the grid. This provides full system back up but also the opportunity to export energy back to the grid. This also allows the generators to operate at an optimally efficient level, with demand outside of that level either supplied by or fed back to the grid as required.
In addition customers simply pay for the energy they use rather than the fuel used by the generator, which helps to incentivise more efficient energy use.
